Anticipated Pay Range: $74,000-$80,000

Pay Range Information: Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors.

The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.

Job Description

Summary:

The Manager of Career Development, Industry and Alumni Engagement serves as the college’s lead professional responsible for advancing student career readiness, experiential learning, employer engagement, alumni relations, and student success initiatives. Acting as the primary liaison between the College, the Office of Career and Professional Development (CPD), employers, alumni, faculty, and community partners, this position develops innovative programming that supports students throughout the entire student lifecycle—from prospective student through engaged alumni.

The Manager provides individualized career coaching; develops employer, internship, and graduate school partnerships; oversees internship and mentoring initiatives; creates career programming; supervises peer career advisors; analyzes outcomes and workforce trends; and collaborates with campus partners to enhance student success, belonging, and career outcomes. This position acts as a liaison between the Deans, faculty, staff, industry partners, and CPD for the purpose of identifying the unique career-related needs of undergraduate, graduate students and alumni pursuing careers in Sciences, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics (STEM) and healthcare.

This role is responsible for professional networking and a high level of outreach to STEM and healthcare employers and alumni to build and maintain industry relations to benefit our students. This role will organize and analyze data to evaluate programs and services.
