Under the general supervision of leadership within the UC Irvine School of Education and the OCEAN Initiative, this position serves as a vital operational and administrative bridge between UC Irvine and local K–12 educational partners.
The primary focus of this role is to oversee administrative, research support, and event operations for the OCEAN initiative—including, but not limited to, supporting and managing day-to-day coordination for the Monroe / UC Irvine Community School Partnership, bi-weekly research seminars, OCEAN events, such as the OCEAN Research-Practice Partnership (RPP) TED Talks, facilitating MOUs, digital communications/social media, supporting OCEAN Research Proposal Processes with Santa Ana Unified School District, and coordinating, participating and documenting partnership meetings.

Required:
- Working knowledge of common organization- or computer application programs.
- Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
- Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
- Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding time frames.
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
Driver's License:
- Required to hold a valid drivers license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.
Preferred:
- Spanish language skill both written and verbal to connect with families at our UCI Monroe Dual Immersion community partnership school.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience
Relevant experience
Expected Salary Range: $34.38 - $37.60/ hr
