Responsibilities- Create detailed designs of water resource projects for federal, state, and local municipalities under the instruction of the Project Engineer.
- Projects may include flood control, stormwater quality control, dams, levees, stream channel restoration, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues, and non‑point source loading and point source design.
- Prepare plans for stormwater analysis and study‑level reports for stormwater projects, determine appropriate design, equipment sizing and selection, hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentations.
- Use CAD application to make redline corrections or prepare design plans with guidance from an.
- Assist in developing quantities for construction projects.
- Support projects in the construction phase, including submittal reviews, design clarifications, and construction management/resident engineer services.
- Conduct quality control reviews of completed designs.
- Assist the Senior Engineer with engineering studies, designs, contract documentation preparation, technical report writing, and graphic presentation.
- Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
- Perform administrative duties associated with project management for projects.
- Work independently on small projects, or assist more senior engineers on larger projects.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
- Experienced with Micro Station is highly desired.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task.
