POSITION OVERVIEW

Trans Grid Energy is seeking an Asset Operations Manager to assist with the management of assets within the company’s portfolio. This role involves collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to help ensure the optimal and compliant operations of the assets.

This position is responsible for the project operations in accordance with requirements in a manner that maximizes availability and performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor, track, and support day-to-day operations and maintenance to help ensure high performance and availability of TGE’s assets to maximize ROA by maintaining fleet availability and market participation. Identify issues and work with stakeholders to remedy.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues with asset performance, scheduling, and market alignment. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Implement initiatives to improve assigned assets and overall business profitability and efficiency.
  • Onboard projects in the execution phase in preparation for operations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for assigned assets by coordinating with TGE’s finance and accounting teams. Determine, report, and address causes of variances.
  • Prepare operations, lender, tax equity, and other reports as applicable.
  • Coordinate tasks related to operational compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and administer project agreements ensuring TGE and external stakeholder obligations are fulfilled in a timely manner.
  • Provide data-driven operational insights to leadership to support strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee performance of suppliers and contractors ensuring contractual obligations are satisfied.
  • Identify deficiencies and submit and manage warranty claims through resolution.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure project needs are met.
  • Document and streamline operations and market participation processes.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, economics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in power plant operations, asset management, stakeholder processes, and energy market activities.
  • Strong understanding of agreements such as FA, LGIA, AMA, LTSA, OMA, SFA, and PPA.
  • Familiarity and understanding of NERC compliance and reporting.
  • Knowledge and experience with utility-scale battery and solar technologies.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to work in an open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
  • Ability to work on a computer and mobile phone for multiple hours with frequent interruptions.
  • Willingness to travel including to project sites.
