In this high-impact, high-visibility Mechanical Engineering role, you’ll lead mechanical architecture from early concept through full production release, shaping scalable, safety-critical systems in a collaborative, executive-driven environment where your work moves quickly from prototype to deployed product and your contributions directly influence the future of distributed energy.

The Charge You Get:- $120K–$155K Base + Equity + Bonus
- Irvine, CA or New York, NY (Onsite)
- Full mechanical design of battery enclosures, assemblies, and integrated electromechanical systems
- 3D CAD development across sheet metal, injection molding, CNC components, and structural frames
- System packaging and integration of PCBs, sensors, switches, fuses, and wiring
- EBOM ownership and transition to MBOM for manufacturing release
- GD&T and tolerance stack-ups per ASME Y14.5
- DFMEA/PFMEA implementation to ensure reliability and safety
- DFM/DFA optimization with global suppliers
- Prototyping, root cause analysis, and iterative hardware development
- PLM documentation, revision control, and release workflows
- Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering
- 5+ years delivering production-ready electromechanical hardware
- Deep CAD fluency with strong GD&T application
- Proven experience designing enclosures integrated with electrical systems
- Working knowledge of battery safety and safety-critical environments
- Experience with stationary BESS, EV battery platforms, switch gear, or similar
- Exposure to UL/CE/CSA certification, structural or thermal analysis tools
(BESS), electromechanical design, product development, hardware engineering, sheet metal, injection molding, CNC machining, enclosure design, system packaging, 3D CAD, Solid Works, Creo, GD&T, ASME Y14.5, tolerance stack-up analysis, DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM, DFA, EBOM, MBOM, PLM systems, production release, manufacturing transfer, prototyping, root cause analysis, battery safety, UL certification, CE, CSA, thermal analysis, structural analysis, switch gear, EV battery systems, modular hardware, and commercial energy systems.
