QA Engineer – Failure Analysis IRC

Description

Perform preliminary failure analysis as needed, including external visual examination, symptom verification, identification of hardware failure modes, location and mechanisms. Conduct electrical engineering failure analysis of components, including integrated circuit fault isolation, to identify failure mechanism using schematics, layouts, and test equipment. Communicate and highlight product quality issues externally and internally.

• Develop, characterize, and optimize FA techniques and tools to advance FA capabilities and efficiency
• Work with ODMs and engineering groups to identify root cause of product failures
• Generate and review detailed failure analysis reports, recommend corrective and preventative actions
• Occasional travels to visit and audit our suppliers’ FA procedures onsite

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
