HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group focuses on designing infrastructure that supports the digital age and spaces where people work, connect, and thrive.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Design and coordinate site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, and paving for large-scale campuses and building sites
- Prepare technical reports and calculations (stormwater, earthwork, sewer/water demand)
- Support permitting and zoning reviews for local/state agencies
- Develop construction documents and technical specifications
- Provide technical leadership and function as a project engineer or specialist on mid-size facility-focused projects
- 3+ years of civil site design experience, preferably on data center, healthcare, industrial, or institutional building sites
- Expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D (earthwork, surfaces, profiles)
- Familiarity with tools like Open Flows
- Bachelor s degree
- Previous experience in general civil engineering
- Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., Professional Engineer PE or P.Eng)
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Good verbal and written communication skills

Compensation& Benefits
We provide a comprehensive benefits package that promotes employee ownership, employee health, performance, and success, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, employee assistance program, paid time away, parental leave, paid holidays, retirement savings with employer match, employee referral bonus, and tuition reimbursement. The expected compensation range for this position is $86,000 - $123,000 and depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
(Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
