As a key member of our California Aviation practice, you’ll drive both the design execution and growth of aviation programs across the region. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients while leading multidisciplinary teams through concept development, detailed design, and construction support for complex airside, landside, and terminal projects.

. You’ll help expand our aviation footprint across major SoCal airports—including LAX, SFO, SJC, SNA, SAN, ONT, BUR, and LGB—backed by Jacobs’ established statewide aviation team.
In addition to managing project delivery, you’ll play a central role in pursuits, proposals, interviews, and client account planning
, contributing directly to our business development strategy. As a seller‑doer, your insights into market trends, client needs, and technical approaches will influence how we position Jacobs for long‑term success.

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 10–15 years of experience delivering aviation design projects
- California Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Demonstrated experience leading design teams and managing large, complex aviation programs (airside, landside, and terminal)
- A strong seller‑doer mindset, including
- Client relationship building
- Pursuit strategy and positioning
- Proposal and interview leadership
- Market assessment and opportunity identification
- Ability to secure new work and grow existing accounts
- Strong writing and communication skills, particularly for proposals and client‑facing materials
- Ability to travel for client meetings, project work, and pursuits
- Experience delivering successful projects with public agencies such as Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), City and County of San Francisco, San Diego County Regional Airport Authority
- A passion for coaching, developing, and mentoring project teams
- A strong focus on quality and long‑term client satisfaction
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, matrixed environment
