Total Vehicle Evaluation Engineering Intern

What You Will Do:

* Assist Total Vehicle Evaluation (TVE) members on vehicle development activities
* Learn from TVE Comprehensive Engineers and other HATCI members on overall vehicle development activities
* Evaluate the total performance (e.g., powertrain, ride and handling, NVH, brakes, ADAS, human factors, etc.) of Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis prototype, pilot, and production vehicles
* Perform subjective vehicle evaluations, identify potential customer complaint issues, investigate root causes, and recommend potential countermeasures
* Develop and execute joint evaluation test plans for vehicle development activities, such as benchmarking and prototype evaluations
* Summarize media reviews and customer feedback concerning Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles
* Support additional development activities at HATCI's automotive proving ground in California City, CA
* Create and present clear and concise technical reports
* Execute additional special projects as assigned What You Will Bring to the Role:
* Basic Qualification(s):
* Mechanical engineering student with at least 2 years of automotive/dynamics-related coursework
* Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
* Preferably, junior or senior standing
* Preferred
