Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for new product development and existing product enhancements
- Support current products related to quality, manufacturing, supply continuity, and cost improvements
- Execute technical and cross-functional project work
- Contribute innovative ideas for new products and performance enhancements
- Understand customer needs through literature reviews, interviews, observation, competitive analysis, and prototype evaluations
- Translate customer needs into engineering requirements and product, packaging, and process specifications
- Apply engineering fundamentals to design robust, manufacturable products
- Develop and execute test methods, including protocols, test setups, and measurement systems
- Analyze test results and prepare detailed technical reports for design verification and product changes
- Generate work instructions, test methods, engineering drawings, and prototypes
- Create and update design control documents, including requirement specifications and risk documents
- Assign and coordinate R&D support tasks; train technicians and provide feedback
- Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers, including defining tolerances and acceptance criteria
- 2- 4 years of engineering experience in the medical device industry
- Hands-on experience with product testing, verification, and design documentation
- Experience working with laboratory or industrial equipment (as applicable)
- Strong engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- CAD experience preferred
- Understanding of basic statistical techniques
- Strong documentation, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail and quality mindset
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Willingness to work onsite 4 days per week
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Preferred: Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering
