Assembler ; ATS Irvine

Position: Assembler 3 (ATS Irvine)
General

Summary:

Performs electronic and mechanical assembly of components, parts, and modules in complex assemblies, sub-assemblies and systems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

* Performs complex electro-mechanical assembly involving wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Works to specified tolerances from prints, wire lists, parts lists, engineering schematics/instructions and engineering change orders.

* Ensures that final assemblies conform to engineering specifications and quality standards, and that assembly methods and sequence of operations follow approved manufacturing processes and assembly protocols.

* Prepares and maintains assembly documentation such as product serialization logs, traceability records and performance metrics for review by the quality control/inspection team. Collaborate with Quality Assurance in the labeling of all products with required serialization and traceability markings and other forms of product identification.

* May participate in the preliminary investigation of corrective action processes for the elimination/reduction of defective products.

* May serve on special project teams formed to support on-time delivery.

Job Specifications:

Electronic and mechanical assembly skills and technical knowledge acquired by four or more years' experience with assembly operations in high technology environments.

Education:

Electronic Assembly Certification and Cable and Harnessing Certification preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of four (4) years of related experience.

Compensation:

For individuals hired to work in California, Astronics Test Systems (ATS) is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to California. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience, as well as internal equity. A reasonable estimate of the range for this position is $25.50 - $27.50 / hour.
