Engineer II, AI​/Machine Learning

Job Description

The AI/Machine Learning Engineer II will be part of the R&D team at Masimo with focus on design and creation of next-generation health monitoring devices. This is a cutting‑edge research and development opportunity to improve people’s lives by solving real‑world problems. The key focus will be on analyzing data from different sources to discover relationships among various measurements and medically relevant conditions, and developing computational models for disease diagnosis, detection and prediction of critical events.

Onsite position at our Irvine, CA office.

• Design and develop AI and ML models to solve complex problems
• Design, train and evaluate machine learning models using large datasets
• Contribute to the organization’s strong drive to be on the cutting edge of technology through the generation of patentable ideas
• Effectively communicate with engineering and marketing teams
• Deliver high quality software design, documentation and implementation

• Experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning and/or deep learning
• Experience with machine learning libraries and modern frameworks such as Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch, scikit‑learn, etc.
• Experience with Python, Matlab and C++
• Hands‑on experience in solving problems such as regression, classification, clustering, dimensionality reduction, structured output and anomaly detection

• Experience in applying AI/ML to biomedical data
• Experience with computer vision and/or robotics
• Experience with databases and their tools

• M.S./Ph.D. degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering/Computer Science (advanced degree preferred)

Anticipated range: $120,000 - $150,000. Placement within the range depends on skills, education and experience. The position also qualifies for up to 10% annual bonus based on company, department and individual performance.
