Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer, Operations Engineer

Key Responsibilities- Repair and maintain organizational facilities, systems, or equipment.
- Receive and triage facilities maintenance work orders from employees, customers, or visitors, ensuring timely completion of critical repairs.
- Inspect and perform preventative maintenance or as‑needed repairs on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and environmental management systems.
- Maintain, monitor, and operate industrial utility equipment such as steam boilers, fuel cells, compressed air, emergency generators, cooling towers, chillers, boilers, air compressors, BMS, and WFI/DI/RO water distribution systems.
- Perform basic repairs and coordinate specialist support for complex repairs.
- Schedule maintenance or repairs to minimize disruption to organizational operations.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Apply comprehensive working knowledge of a technical field or area of specialization.
- Use principles, theories, and concepts to propose effective solutions.
- Demonstrate comprehensive shop‑floor competencies under general supervision.
- Use limited judgment to resolve problems and maintain regular contact with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
- Required: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Required: 6+ years of related experience as a stationary engineer and/or building management systems operator.
- Required: Ability to work non‑standard schedules as needed.
- Preferred: Associate’s or technical degree.
- Preferred: CA and/or LA County Steam License.
The role requires sitting, speaking, and hearing regularly, use of hands and arms, and occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
Benefits & CompensationSalary Range: $36‑$40 per hour. Additional benefits include healthcare, a 401(k) plan, and tuition reimbursement.
