This entry-level Quality Engineer role is an exciting opportunity to launch your engineering career by applying core engineering theory and principles within a regulated product development environment. Working closely alongside a Senior Engineer, you will gain hands-on experience supporting compliance, documentation, and quality assurance activities across new product development initiatives.
Job Responsibilities: In this role, you will manage and support a variety of projects within the Quality Engineering department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with a Senior Engineer to provide support and coverage across tasks and deliverables
- Supporting and executing equipment and tooling Installation Qualifications (IQ)
- Observing, logging, and communicating defects identified on the production line
- Updating procedures, drawings, and related documentation as applicable
- Interpreting engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and formulas in collaboration with management and engineering staff to establish quality and reliability standards
Essential Job Duties and Functions:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and established systems and procedures
- Contribute to quality assurance efforts throughout the new product development lifecycle
- Accurately document findings and maintain up-to-date engineering records
- Communicate quality observations and concerns clearly and in a timely manner
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical mindset with proven problem-solving ability
- High attention to detail with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
- Proficiency with computer applications and engineering software, including Computer Aided Design (CAD)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
- 0-2 years of relevant experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical analysis tools required
