The ClientWe are partnering with a leading global infrastructure developer to appoint an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale, mission‑critical data center projects across the United States.
The OpportunityThis is a key technical role, partnering closely with development and project teams to drive electrical design, specification, and delivery across multiple data center builds. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring projects meet performance, quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Support development teams with RFPs, RFIs, and technical submissions
- Lead electrical design delivery from concept through to construction
- Review contractor designs to identify risks, gaps, and non‑conformances
- Specify and evaluate electrical equipment aligned to client requirements
- Provide technical oversight throughout the design and delivery lifecycle
- Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and contractors
- Ensure compliance with performance standards and project specifications
- Contribute to optimisation, efficiency, and continuous improvement post‑delivery
- Manage design coordination, approvals, and stakeholder engagement
- Support feasibility and due diligence for new developments
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development
- Degree‑qualified in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
- 10+ years’ experience in electrical/building services design within data centers
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and BOD design
- Experience leading projects across RFQ/RFP processes and multi‑disciplinary teams
- Knowledge of electrical protection and grading studies
- Proven experience managing contractors, consultants, and vendor relationships
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Experience with hyperscale or colocation environments is highly desirable
