EAG Laboratories, part of the Eurofins group of companies, is looking for a ESD Technician for our Engineering Sciences lab located in Irvine, California. EAG provides ESD & Latch-up test services to a broad spectrum of technology-based sectors. We are proud to support our clients who range from startup stages to Fortune 500 global industry leaders. We demonstrate a hands‑on approach to technical expertise by utilizing leading‑edge methods and tools to attain insight that fuel engineering.
As an ESD Technician, you will be support laboratory ESD LU activities such as sample receiving, job initiation, ESD LU Testing, ESD LU Data processing, Equipment Monitoring and Calibration. In addition, support test‑plan development. Support testing of devices and proper handling, storage, and disposition back to customer. Provide data analysis and reports to customer as well as standard, everyday customer communication of job status.
Support lab organization and cleanliness.
- Running weekly diagnostics on MK4, and Orion CDM testers
- Running parts through MK4, and Orion CDM testers
- Processing images from data results files
- Importing and exporting files from testers.
- Moving parts around using tweezers or vacuum pickup tools.
- Packing tested parts for transportation to a customer or other lab / facility
- Compiling images and other information for reports.
Note:
This role is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

What we would like to see:Education and Experience:
- AA in electronics or related field OR HS diploma with 2+ years of direct experience in electronics testing using automated testers.
- Understands the basic of electronic packaging.
- Knows how to use a microscope, calipers, DVM, resistance meters, and oscilloscopes.
- Understands safe handling of integrated circuits with respect to electrostatic discharge
- Must be able to use a computer with some proficiency.
- Must be able to clearly communicate, both oral and written.
- Maintain good organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Ability to continuously operate a personal computer or lab equipment for extended periods of time (4 or more hours).
- Ability to operate a keyboard and other lab equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead
- Ability to communicate clearly and understandably ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting.
- Ability to handle small and fragile devices with tweezers and /or fingers.
- Require close distance visual acuity with or without correction (Glasses, Contacts, etc.)
- Must be willing and able to wear PPE such as hard-hat, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, laboratory coat and/or any other devices or equipment that is required.
- Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
- Ability to move equipment or items up to 50 lbs.
