** What You’ll Bring**###
*
* Required:
*** Bachelors or Degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or a related discipline; or equivalent experience.
* 2+ years of experience in asbestos-related projects specifically to industrial sites, large demolition projects, construction safety, air compliance and contaminated site investigation.
* California Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) or Certified Site Surveillance (CSST) Certification, current.
* California Department of Public Health (CDPH) – Certified Lead Sampling Technician or Certified Lead Inspector / Assessor, current.
* Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD, etc.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Willingness to be cross trained in additional health and safety/industrial hygiene work
* Ability to travel within the southern and central California areas.
* Driver's License
Required:
This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area

** Preferred:
*** 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training
* 8-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Supervisor certification
* CPR/First Aid certification
* Bloodborne pathogens training
* Confined space and excavation awareness training

* Hazard recognition and job hazard analysis experience
* Incident investigation and root cause analysis experience##
** Key Responsibilities
*** Serve as Asbestos Field Sampling Technician on assigned site investigation, remediation, and decommissioning/decontamination/demolition environmental construction projects and implement site-specific Health & Safety Plans
* Ensure appropriate level of PPE is available and properly used, including maintenance and sanitation
* Collect asbestos samples in accordance with regulatory guidelines and industry best practices
* Manage sample collection and documentation processes
* Assist with development of sampling plans, reporting, and review
* Verify communication systems are in place and functioning
* Monitor conformance with safety and emergency procedures
