Job SummaryWork with general supervision and as a team player to perform routine drafting for mechanical, electrical and/or electronic components using both 3D and 2D CAD software and word processing for support documents. Apply knowledge and skills of procedures and techniques to create and modify documents that form a technical data package. This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.
Must be a US Citizen.
Generate new documents and revise existing documents for mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic components and support documents.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training.
- Post high school education courses in mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic drafting
, dimensioning and tolerancing or 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training is required. - Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 is a plus. Mechanical, electrical and/or electronic design knowledge is preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- Ability to hear, speak and understand in English.
- Requires fair written and oral communication skills.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITYMust have the ability to prioritize workload and complete tasks in a timely manner. Ability to pay close attention to detail, stay focused and maintain a high degree of accuracy on repetitive work. Requires strong organizational skills and work habits. Ability to follow instructions and procedures exactly and make minor decisions if following an established procedure. Ability to be highly productive in generating drawings and revisions.

COMPUTER SKILLSPrior experience of mechanical, electrical and/or electronic component drafting and personal computer use using Word and Excel is required. Prior knowledge of Solid Works and SOLIDWorks PDM is desired.
TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED ON THE JOBPersonal computer using Solid Works, SOLIDWORKS PDM, AutoCAD, Visio Excel and Word. Copier/printer and plotter.
