Vice President, Electrical Engineer – Property & Buildings, Irvine, CA.
Licensed Electrical Engineer with deep healthcare experience. The role blends technical excellence with business development acumen, driving complex healthcare projects and expanding WSP’s presence in Southern California.
- Serve as a technical leader for electrical engineering design on hospitals, clinical facilities, life sciences, and related healthcare projects.
- Lead the full project lifecycle from concept development through construction and close‑out.
- Drive client relationships and business development, including pursuits, proposals, and market growth strategies.
- Coordinate, review, and approve electrical system designs, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Oversee design of power distribution, emergency systems, lighting, and life safety systems.
- Provide strategic direction and mentorship to engineering teams, supporting staff development and technical excellence.
- Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions aligned with client objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, strengthening long‑term partnerships and expanding WSP’s healthcare footprint.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering design, with a strong emphasis on healthcare facilities.
- Demonstrated experience leading large, complex healthcare projects.
- Proven success in client engagement and business development.
- Strong working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and healthcare‑specific codes/standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Established network within the Southern California healthcare market.
- Experience working on large, multi‑disciplinary teams across regional or national projects.
- Familiarity with Revit/BIM and advanced design technologies.
- Prior experience in a leadership or executive‑level engineering role.

CompensationExpected Salary: $174,400–$259,100.
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
