Your ImpactJacobs is seeking an experienced UXO Technician to lead complex munitions response projects in the U.S. and abroad. This role is ideal for seasoned UXO leaders who are confident making field decisions, driving safety performance, and mentoring teams in challenging environments.
Role OverviewAs a technician III, you will serve as the on‑site authority for UXO operations—responsible for safety, quality, compliance, and execution from start to finish.
The candidate shall be qualified to perform Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) procedures and be competent and experienced in management, safety, and quality functions related to the investigation and removal of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO), Discarded Military Munitions (DMM), and Munitions Constituents (MC).
Jacobs seeks highly motivated, results‑oriented professionals who can work independently, implement written plans, and maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Qualifications- Minimum 13+ years of combined active‑duty military EOD and contractor UXO experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) systems, processes, and procedures for
- Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC)
- Time Critical and Non‑Time Critical Response Actions
- Experience with MEC/HTRW and Construction Support procedures
- Prior implementation of an Army, Navy, or Air Force project work plan in one or more of the following roles
- Senior UXO Supervisor (SUXOS)
- UXO Safety Officer (UXOSO)
- UXO Quality Control Specialist (UXOQCS)
- Experience implementing
- DDESB requirements
- Explosive Safety Submissions (ESS)
- Explosive Siting Plans (ESP)
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to pass a DoD/DoJ Security Background Check or National Agency Check (NAC)
- Valid State Driver’s License
- Ability to obtain
- ATF Employee Possessor or Responsible Person Certification
- State Blasting License (as required by state)
- USACE Construction Quality Management Certification
- Graduate of a UXO‑TI Course or Graduate of US Naval School of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (Phase I & II)
- Ability to perform Walking, hiking, working in remote locations, working outdoors, working in rain, snow, wind, cold, heat, and over water, or at heights

CompensationThe base salary range for this position is $75,900.00 to $; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
