Responsibilities
- Provide global safety agency support across product development and sustaining programs
- Perform high-voltage design checks to ensure compliance with applicable safety standards
- Lead and manage safety certification submissions including UL, TÜV, FCC, and other regional approvals
- Act as technical interface with certification agencies and accredited laboratories
- Interpret and apply international safety standards, including IEC 60664-1 (insulation coordination)
- Conduct safety compliance evaluations including:
- Creepage and clearance verification
- Dielectric withstand and electrical spacing review
- Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate safety requirements early in product design
- Support certification testing activities at internal and external test laboratories
- Monitor latest IEC safety standards and communicate updates to engineering teams
- Maintain certification documentation, compliance reports, and technical files
- Support global manufacturing sites and customer technical discussions related to safety compliance
- Travel domestically and internationally as part of normal job responsibilities to support certification
- Testing, manufacturing coordination, and customer technical activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
- 3–5 years of experience in product safety, certification, or compliance engineering
- Experience working with UL or equivalent safety certification agencies preferred
- Experience with high-power or high-voltage products
- Strong understanding of high-voltage design requirements and electrical safety fundamentals
- Knowledge of IEC 60664-1 and insulation coordination principles
- Experience preparing or supporting safety certification submissions
- Hands‑on experience working with or supporting product test laboratories
- Familiarity with CAD software for engineering design review
- Ability to independently review and verify high-voltage product designs
- Experience in connector, EV power, power distribution, or data center applications
- Strong teamwork mindset and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Good technical documentation and communication capability
