Military Flight Controls Division

Parker Aerospace’s Military Flight Controls Division (MFCD) provides primary and secondary flight‑control systems for aircraft worldwide. MFCD delivers proven, trusted systems in commercial and military applications. Its Jet Pipe® electrohydraulic servo valve (EHSV) technology is used across the globe. Position Summary

The Inspector Technician / CMM Programmer performs advanced dimensional inspection and CMM programming with minimal guidance. The role is the primary CMM programming resource, mentors junior staff, and maintains full Delegated Quality Representative (DQR) certification for key customers.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, validate, run, and maintain CMM inspection programs using Zeiss Calypso.
  • Perform complex inspection of critical machined parts, castings, forgings, and assemblies using precision measuring and test equipment. Establish advanced set‑ups (blocks, parallels, clamps, sine plates, V‑blocks) as needed.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and envelope inspections.
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to determine acceptance or rejection and recommend actions to management.
  • Maintain accurate acceptance and rejection records.
  • Investigate root causes of nonconformances, customer returns, and quality escapes; perform inspections within assembly, test, and shipping departments.
  • Maintain full DQR status for applicable customers; independently perform delegated inspection and product release.
  • Support special process witness and sign‑off requirements; assist with customer/gov‑source inspection.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • 5+ years of related aerospace inspection experience, including dedicated CMM operations and programming.
  • Proven experience programming Zeiss Calypso; PC‑DMIS experience is a plus.
  • In‑depth knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y‑14.5; AS9100; AS9102; customer, industry, and military standards; and shop mathematics (trigonometry).
  • Ability to interpret complex drawings and electronic/hydraulic schematics; knowledge of electro‑hydraulic servo systems is a plus.
  • Experience with quality and MES systems such as Net‑Inspect and Solumina.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; proven ability to mentor and collaborate across teams.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule Competitive Compensation
  • Pay Range: $31.1/hr to $46.7/hr
