Primary Responsibilities- Conduct analyses to develop design options.
- Perform PLS‑CADD modeling, calculations, and analyses.
- Assist with preparing cost estimates or specifications.
- Perform routine to moderately complex engineering and design tasks.
- Lead design teams to develop and complete full construction packages for transmission line projects.
- Participate in field reviews or construction observation.
- Train and mentor junior and entry‑level engineers.
- Coordinate work of the electrical design team on large institutional/industrial projects through the schematic design development and contract document phase.
- Establish meetings and participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
- Coordinate workload to complete deliverables on schedule.
- Conduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines.
- Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines on addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders, and incorporate agreed‑upon changes into the project documents.
- Conduct QA/QC for transmission projects.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Master's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
- Previous experience with an engineering consulting firm.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm (desired).
- Familiarity with NESC and GO 95 codes; familiarity with PLS‑TOWER and/or SAPS modules of PLS‑CADD.
- Previous experience with the utility industry or engineering consulting firms (desired).
- Preference for local candidates.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
- Previous experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office and standard Power Market Sector design software (e.g., PLS‑CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Auto Pipe, Revit).
