Operations Manager
Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking a Full‑Time Construction Assessor to perform all Construction Assessor responsibilities including planning, executing, reviewing, and finalizing projects according to deadlines and within budget.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & TASKS- Involved in multiple projects concurrently
- Oversee the quality of Partner’s deliverables throughout the project life cycle
- Coordinate the efforts of Partner team members and, when required, Partner Associates (PAs) to deliver projects according to plan
- Build strong relationships with the Partner team, the Client and other project stakeholders to successfully deliver a quality product on time
- Conduct inspections
- Write reports
- Ensure quality of services and reports
- Effectively communicate project expectations (e.g., Client‑specific SOW, templates) to team members and assessors in a timely and clear fashion throughout the project
- Provide solid recommendations and solutions to Partner team members (RM, TD, PM, etc.) and clients, understanding the assessment’s potential impact on the transaction process
- Identify and resolve issues with projects
- Deliver appropriate progress reports (verbally or by e‑mail)
- Communicate and coordinate follow‑up questions during the review process
- Excellent communication skills (internal and external)
- Ability to work on projects concurrently
- Proven ability to successfully deliver a quality product on time
- Exceptional writing skills
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team
- Comprehensive understanding of design processes/concepts, construction elements (contracts, cost, administration, scheduling, change orders) and funding/payment processes
- Proficient in report authorship and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) of reports
- Bachelor’s degree or greater from an accredited university in architecture, construction management, or an engineering discipline (a plus)
- 3+ years of relevant experience in construction or a construction‑related field such as architecture, construction management, and/or engineering
- Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English
- Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the telephone and via e‑mail
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and a computer screen
- Must be able to visit a construction job site and maneuver around and through construction activities
The wage range for this role is estimated at $85,000‑$105,000 based on factors such as skill set, experience, training, licensure, certifications and business needs.
