Position Summary

The Aircraft Integration Technician will be responsible for the creation, modification, routing and installation of aircraft system wire harnesses and electrical and avionics systems on manned and unmanned aircraft in accordance with DOD, manufacturer, company, supplier and other directives. The Integration Technician reports to the Lead Integration Technician and Director of Manufacturing.

Required Duties and Responsibilities
  • Installs, modifies and tests aircraft structural, composite, avionics, and/or electrical systems to ensure they are operational and meet required quality standards
  • Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems
  • Completes all required documentation in accordance with established company procedures and/or government and customer technical order requirements
  • In the absence of established procedures, confers with Lead Integration Technician and/or Manufacturing Engineer
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
Required Skills/Qualifications
  • Applicant must have considerable knowledge of:
  • Structural, composite, mechanical and electrical aircraft processes, systems and associated regulations
  • Aircraft related assembly/repair/installation processes, tools, composites, templates, fixtures, testing and measuring devices as well as judgment to determine correct process, tools, and/or material
  • Reading, interpreting, and explaining blueprints, drawings, and maintenance manuals
  • Installing, modifying, and adjusting various complex aircraft assemblies and structures
  • Experience in the use of various hand tools and aircraft electrical crimping tools
  • Experienced in routing electrical harnesses and cables
Education
  • Typically requires an associate degree in a related field or military/trade school equivalence and five or more years of progressive experience in aircraft assembly, integration and/or maintenance. Additional related technical experience may be substituted in lieu of the formal education.

The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to warehouse and other facilities.

Physical Demands
  • Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
  • Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.
Work Authorization Requirement

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Hourly Rate

$30.00 - $45.00. Hourly rate depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
