Job DescriptionJohnson & Johnson Med Tech is recruiting for a Technical Transfer and Validation Director located in Irvine, CA. The role is responsible for developing and managing the portfolio of Supply Chain Technical Transfer projects to drive Quality, Growth, Delivery and Cost Improvements globally across the BWI Supply Chain organization.
Key Responsibilities- Manage technical projects of External Manufacturing and Internal Manufacturing around capacity expansion.
- Provide technical support for the approval and validation of changes and improvements.
- Oversee technical execution of projects and provide comprehensive technical advice.
- Facilitate resolution of complex technical and operational problems, including manufacturing assembly issues.
- Drive development and implementation of validation activities and governance processes to manage process and system setup at the EM.
- Conduct effective strategy, business planning input, metrics, and scorecard reviews.
- Implement standard best practices for project management, measurement, and prioritization.
- Develop and define the master list of Supply Chain improvement projects within BWI SC, including business case, resources, timelines, deliverables, and metrics.
- Establish program tracking and reporting to ensure key benefit realization and support the BWI Supply Chain Leadership Team.
- Prioritize projects within the portfolio and allocate resources efficiently.
- Review and approve technical documentation to verify compliance with technical specifications and standards.
- Communicate with internal and external partners to coordinate and execute project plans.
- Assign tasks for compliance, quality improvement, cost reduction, cycle time reduction, capacity increase, raw material qualification, and launch preparation.
- Ensure implementation of multiple new product development plans and programs for the business unit.
- Monitor smooth execution of plans and programs at lower levels and cross‑functionally.
- Allocate resources to achieve project goals within timelines and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with all local government and company regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned.
- Validation Engineers and Engineering Technicians may be supervised.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Experience and Skills Required- 3–5 years of related experience leading transfer projects.
- 3–5 years of leading project management projects.
- Six Sigma Certification.
- Project Management Certification.
- Proficiency in English.
- Comfortable working in an office setting, sitting at a computer, using an office phone, and performing light office work.
- No travel restrictions; must be able to travel 50% of the time during different project periods, including outside the United States (Mexico, Costa Rica, and China).

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $ – $.
Benefits- Eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

- Vacation: 120 hours per calendar year.
- Sick time: 40 hours per calendar year (48 hours for employees in Colorado, 56 hours for employees in Washington).
- Holiday pay, including floating holidays: 13 days per calendar year.
- Work, Personal and Family Time: up to 40 hours per calendar year.
