About Rivian

Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions‑free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.

As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.

Role Summary

This role functions as the connective tissue between technical engineering and operational execution, ensuring vehicle programs stay on schedule. You will serve as a strategic facilitator, navigating high‑level trade‑offs across the supply chain and manufacturing while maintaining the accountability needed for issue resolution.

Beyond coordination, you are expected to be a data‑driven problem solver who optimizes internal tool chains and root‑causes systemic issues to improve reporting accuracy. Ultimately, you act as a vital deputy to program leadership, translating raw engineering challenges into streamlined, automated processes that support executive decision‑making.

Responsibilities
  • Drive programs & engineering teams to ensure succinct delivery of the following processes:
    • Change management
    • Issue management
    • Product documentation and release
  • Own, host and orchestrate key program forums assisting chief engineers & vehicle line directors navigating key decisions on the program.
  • Facilitate the trade‑off decisions between Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, & Service.
  • Deep‑dive engineering and operations issues in order to root‑cause error states, helping to derive longer‑term solutions.
  • Communicate with & train business teams where required who need to interface with key processes.
  • Develop and improve automation in a variety of tool chains such as Excel, Jira, Hex (Python / SQL) to increase reporting efficiency and data visualization capability.
  • Drive continuous improvement of program processes through the use of key KPI’s and metrics.
  • Deliver key program management reports for enabling leadership decision making.
  • Act as the neutral "enforcer" for the Chief Engineers, holding workstream leads accountable for deliverables discussed in key forums to prevent meeting‑to‑meeting drift.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience in product development program management, engineering, supply chain, or vehicle operations.
  • BS in Engineering, or similar technical degree.
  • Comfortable coordinating wide groups of people.
  • Hands‑on, open‑minded attitude.
  • Adventurous and curious mindset.
  • Diligent, tenacious attitude.
