Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Sr. Launch System Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Mission Operations Manager
, the Sr. Launch System Integration Engineer will lead and execute launch vehicle integration for space vehicles, develop launch requirements, perform launch verification and validation, and ensure range safety compliance. You will also act as the primary launch liaison between customers, launch providers, and Terran Orbital.
- Manage all aspects related to the launch segment for specific programs (e.g., dispenser/separation system requirements, packaging and shipping of space vehicle and launch‑related hardware, unpacking hardware at vehicle integration site, and launch integration planning and execution)
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for launch across multiple disciplines, customers, and launch providers
- Coordinate and conduct test campaigns of space vehicle and launch‑related hardware
- Write and execute assembly, integration, and test procedures to support the launch integration campaign
- Work with design and tooling engineers to develop and/or design assembly, integration, or checkout tooling
- Collaborate closely with program teams, technical peers, and operations to ensure the Launch Systems Engineering team and launch integration activities meet all requirements and achieve all milestones
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
- 5+ years’ experience as an aerospace, mechanical, systems engineer, or similar
- Hands‑on experience with payload integration and/or launch integration
- Experience with large structure and electrical assembly
- Experience with SSCMAN 91-710 Compliance and MSPSP
- Highly detail‑oriented
- Effective communication skills with cross‑functional teams, external customers, and launch suppliers
- Strong organizational skills
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for launch site integration support
- Availability to work extended hours and weekends as required
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (e.g., lifts, overhead cranes)
- U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
- Experience with Solid Works
- Experience with requirement tools such as JAMA and Valispace
- Experience with propellant systems for spacecraft
- Experience with MGSE for structures handling (e.g., lift/breakover fixtures, large structure stands)
- Experience with space vehicle separation systems
- Familiarity with GEVS and/or SMC‑S‑16 testing requirements
$125,000 – $155,000 USD.

Lifting or moving objects up to 10 pounds routinely and up to 25 pounds occasionally. The position is generally sedentary with substantial computer usage.
