Director of Mission Engineering - Turion Space

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of mission‑specific Design Reference Missions (DRMs) using advanced modeling and simulation tools.
• Conduct system trade studies to shape architecture decisions and optimize performance against mission requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, business development, and customer teams to translate mission needs into rigorous analysis and actionable insights.
• Oversee the integration of model‑based systems engineering practices across multidisciplinary teams.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

• Extensive experience in mission engineering, modeling, and simulation for space or related high‑complexity systems.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and Simulink for developing and validating models.
• Strong background in systems engineering, trade studies, and model‑based systems engineering.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to guide cross‑functional teams.
• Advanced degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or a related field preferred.
