Job Details

We are seeking a Component/Parts Engineer to support a medical device platform during DVT and production release phases. This is not a product design engineering role — the focus is on parts, components, manufacturability, supplier coordination, and risk reduction to ensure designs are production-ready.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and support release of electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical components/parts
  • Evaluate component lifecycle risks (Active, NRND, EOL), supplier availability, and alternate sourcing
  • Review mechanical drawings for GD&T, tolerance stack‑ups, manufacturability, and DFM/DFA concerns
  • Work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve component and production issues
  • Support design transfer and manufacturing readiness activities
  • Ensure component documentation, compliance, traceability, and PLM/ERP data accuracy (Propel / Net Suite)
Key Requirements
  • 5+ years in Component Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Hardware Support, or similar role
  • Strong experience working with parts/components rather than full product design ownership
  • Ability to review drawings, tolerances, datasheets, and manufacturability concerns
  • Understanding of machining, molding, sheet metal, and supplier manufacturing capabilities
  • Experience in regulated industries preferred (medical device highly preferred)
  • Familiarity with DVT, design release, and production ramp processes
  • Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack‑up analysis, and component risk mitigation
