Job Summary

Carries out engineering assignments concerned with the planning and design of mechanically functioning equipment and processes. Create and review drawings and technical documents as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team. Supports peers and senior engineers for medium level complexity projects. Works under supervision, performs assignments of medium complexity and may assist other senior engineers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supports the test, qualification, and production handoff of mechanical and electromechanical subsystems and assemblies.
  • Supports all phases of engineering projects, from concept through full-rate production. Helps in the design and/or selection of manufacturing and test equipment needed to scale production quantities.
  • Assists in resolution of issues affecting legacy products and processes.
  • Under general supervision and with some latitude for unreviewed action, performs engineering assignments which involve responsibility for technical documentation, engineering change orders, design packages, test plans, reports, procedures, part and assembly drawings, and vendor specifications.
  • Assists in the preparation and presentation of design reviews, works with vendors to conduct DFM studies, build prototypes, analyze failures, determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • May give directions to junior level engineers, designers and draftspersons.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.M.E) from four-year college or university in Mechanical Engineering and 2 to 5 years of experience with design, analysis, and fabrication of mechanical components/systems.
  • Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 required.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Requires strong oral/written communication skills and must be capable of conducting effective oral presentations to customers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with electrical circuits a plus.
  • Hands-on test and hardware experience desired.
  • Understanding of military specifications, environmental specifications, and test specifications desired.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay Range: $83,250 to $138,550 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
