Highway Coordinator​/EIT

HDR Transportation Business Group is seeking a Highway Coordinator/EIT to support transportation projects across Southern California.

• Provide project engineering and delivery support for transportation projects and public transportation clients in the Southern California region.
• Collaborate with a team of project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects.
• Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans, and construction estimates.
• Assist in creating and submitting technical reports, specifications, and calculations.
• Perform other duties as needed.

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or the ability to obtain one within 12 months. Candidates without an EIT will be placed in a Design Coordinator role and must obtain their EIT for career progression.
• Proficiency with Micro Station and/or AutoCAD, and demonstrated experience with high‑ways and roads engineering software such as Bentley Concept Station, Open Roads Designer, Autodesk Infraworks, or Civil 3D.
• Preference will be given to local candidates.
• Previous work experience with Cal Trans or local city projects (studies and design) is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

The expected compensation range for this position is $71,000 - $93,000, based on skills, experience, education, and geographical location. Primary location:
United States, California, Irvine. Full‑time, regular employee status.
