The Defense Systems Division is part of the Parker Aerospace Group, located in Irvine, California. Our products are used across military and commercial platforms globally. We specialize in cutting edge thermal management systems and components including fans, pumps and compressors, ammunition handling systems, weapon scoring systems, dynamic pressure sensors, piezoelectric accelerometers, towed targets, reeling machines, and associated telemetry.

Test Technician - Defense System Division
Position Summary/
Essential Functions:
Lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies developmental and production electronics components, parts, equipment, and systems by performing the essential duties listed below. Troubleshoots items to component level, working with engineering personnel when required.
Responsibilities:
* Must be able to perform test activities that include field return and failure analysis from written instructions and drawings.
* Must have experience with writing reports, failure analyses and must be able to read schematics and troubleshoot to component level.
* Understanding of Environmental, Vibration, Shock and Acceleration testing to MIL Standards is a plus.
* Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment such as multimeters, microscopes oscilloscopes, power meters, hi-pot testing, fiber optics, etc.
* Must have previous ISO
9001 or AS9100 work experience along with FOD prevention 5S.
Qualifications:
* Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent. With a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in Environmental, electronics, with fiber optic experience a plus.
* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
* Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Ability to prioritize workload. Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner. Ability to exercise discretion. Ability to pay close attention to detail and produce high level of accuracy.
