About the Role

We are hiring for a Senior Electrical Engineer to serve as the technical lead and final design authority for the electronics powering a commercial and next-generation wearable medical device platform. This is a high-ownership individual contributor role at a growing medical device company focused on life-critical wearable technology.

You will be responsible for electrical architecture, schematic and PCB design, motor control systems, and Bluetooth/wireless/RF — carrying projects from concept through regulatory approval and into manufacturing.

• Own electrical design architecture for low‑power, wearable medical devices
• Lead schematic and PCB design using Altium Designer
• Design and validate motor control systems and wireless/RF subsystems
• Support product development from concept through 510(k) submission and manufacturing transfer
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and third‑party test labs
• Clearly communicate design decisions and technical tradeoffs to stakeholders

• Proven hands‑on experience in electrical product development (design → test → commercialization)
• Strong hardware design background with a track record of shipping product
• Proficiency with Altium Designer (or equivalent; Altium strongly preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative, solutions‑oriented mindset

• Low‑power embedded system design experience
• RF design and validation
• IEC 60601 compliance experience (EMI/EMC/ESD)
• Experience with FDA design controls and 510(k) submissions
• Python scripting for test automation and data analysis

This role is onsite 5 days per week in Irvine, CA
