We are seeking a Project Geologist to support and execute environmental site investigation and remediation projects throughout Southern California. This role is ideal for a geologist with 3+ years of environmental consulting experience who enjoys hands‑on field work, task leadership, and close collaboration with engineers and senior technical staff on complex remediation sites.

The Project Geologist will work side‑by‑side with Project Environmental Engineers and report to a Senior Project Manager, playing a key role in field execution, staff oversight, data interpretation, and technical reporting for a diverse portfolio of investigation and remediation projects.

• Serve as field and task lead on environmental investigation and remediation projects
• Oversee, mentor, and coordinate junior geologists and field staff during site activities
• Plan and execute environmental site investigations, including soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and LNAPL assessments
• Support remediation projects through field execution, performance monitoring, and data evaluation
• Prepare technical reports, work plans, figures, and regulatory submittals
• Coordinate subcontractors and support remedial system construction, operations, and maintenance activities (field oversight and monitoring only)
• Collaborate closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, and senior technical staff to maintain quality, schedule, and budget
• Support agency coordination and regulatory compliance efforts

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of environmental consulting experience
• Environmental remediation experience is required
• Prior experience acting as a task or field lead on active project sites
• Strong data interpretation, technical writing, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with California environmental regulations preferred

• Exposure to full‑lifecycle remediation projects, including site investigation, RI/FS support, feasibility studies, construction oversight, and site closure
• Regular interaction with regulatory agencies such as EPA, DTSC, RWQCBs, and state/local regulators, helping drive projects efficiently toward closure
• Opportunity to work on complex and high‑profile sites, including petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, PFAS, metals, LNAPL, vapor intrusion, brownfields, landfills, infrastructure corridors, and redevelopment projects
• Hands‑on technical leadership, with senior engineers and geoscientists actively involved in project execution; not just high‑level review
• Strong design‑construction interface exposure, coordinating with engineers and contractors during remedial system implementation and O&M
• Highly collaborative project teams, integrating geologists, hydro geologists, engineers, and regulatory specialists
• Practical approach that balances technical rigor with constructability, cost control, and schedule realism
