Help Build the Next Generation of Life-Saving Medical Technology

Are you passionate about solving complex engineering challenges that make a real difference in people's lives?

Join a global leader in critical-care and emergency medical technology that is transforming patient care through innovation, reliability, and cutting-edge product development. Their life-saving devices are trusted by healthcare professionals worldwide in hospitals, emergency response environments, and clinical settings. As they continue to invest heavily in research, development, and next-generation ventilation technologies, they are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who is excited to lead technical initiatives, drive innovation, and help deliver products that directly impact patient outcomes.

This is more than an engineering role—it's an opportunity to shape the future of medical technology while working alongside a highly collaborative, mission-driven team that values technical excellence, creativity, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll serve as a key technical contributor responsible for the design, enhancement, and sustainment of sophisticated electronic systems used in regulated medical devices. You'll work across the entire product lifecycle, partnering with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions that meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, analyze, and optimize electrical circuits for advanced medical devices and critical-care technologies.
  • Evaluate and identify qualified replacements for obsolete or end-of-life electronic components to ensure long-term product sustainability.
  • Create, modify, and validate PCB designs supporting both new product development and sustaining engineering initiatives.
  • Lead Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and collaborate closely with Mechanical, Software, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to implement design improvements.
  • Participate in prototype development, laboratory testing, pilot builds, product verification and validation, and risk assessments.
  • Partner with internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to support design transfer, fixture development, testing, and production readiness.
  • Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive electrical and system-level requirements documentation.
  • Proactively identify technical, compliance, and product performance risks and drive effective mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, reliability, and engineering processes.
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of electrical engineering experience, including a minimum of 3 years supporting regulated medical device development.
  • Strong system-level troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
  • Experience working with embedded systems and electronic product development.
  • Proven success managing electrical design documentation and ECO processes.
  • Solid understanding of design controls, root-cause analysis, change management, and regulated product development environments.
  • Hands-on experience with analog and mixed-signal circuit design, including:
    • Motor control systems
    • Switching regulators
    • Operational amplifiers (Op-Amps)
    • EMC considerations
    • Wireless technologies
Preferred Experience
  • Advanced analog circuit design experience involving ADCs, DACs, motor drivers, solenoids, op-amps, and power conversion systems.
  • Experience developing products that comply with medical safety, EMC, and wireless certification requirements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex PCB assemblies down to the component level.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and medical device regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience supporting long-term product lifecycle management and sustaining engineering efforts.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
  • Self-driven problem solver capable of independently identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
