What You’ll Do
Collaborate as a key member of STV’s West Region Bridge Practice, supporting a growing team focused on delivering high-quality transportation infrastructure solutions. Assist with the structural analysis and design of highway, rail, pedestrian, and related transportation structures across a variety of project types. Support bridge design tasks from concept through final deliverables, while taking ownership of assigned work and contributing to overall project success.
Partners with project managers, engineers, and discipline leads to support project planning, budgets, schedules, specifications, and successful delivery. Help maintain quality and consistency across project deliverables by applying sound engineering judgment and attention to detail. Contribute to plan production through CAD markups, layout development, and coordination with the broader design team as needed including exposure to Building Information Modeling (BIM).
You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required;
Master’s degree with a structural emphasis is a plus. 0–2 years of experience supporting structural or bridge engineering projects through coursework, internships, or professional practice. Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain shortly after hire. Foundational structural analysis and design skills, with an understanding of the multidisciplinary coordination needed to deliver transportation and infrastructure projects successfully. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities, coordinate assignments, and meet project deadlines in a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to build strong working relationships with teammates, managers, and clients. Working knowledge of Micro Station or AutoCAD, with a willingness to continue building technical design and drafting capabilities, including BIM.
