Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is seeking a Functional Safety Engineer focused on the vehicle's body and thermal systems to ensure safety across the full lifecycle. You will lead safety analyses (HARA, DFMEA, FTA, FMEDA) and design safety mechanisms while coordinating with Controls, Diagnostics and Electrical Systems teams.
You will validate safety through Lab Car/HiL testing and drive safety requirements from concept through validation, contributing to a safe, reliable electric vehicle
