Roadway Engineer Intern

Parsons is looking for a talented Roadway Engineer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to large‑scale engineering projects, gain practical experience in highway and roadway design, and be part of our Internship Program.

• Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Assist with the geometric design of highways and roadways, including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, superelevation diagrams, gore details, vertical clearance calculations, and grading plans.
• Perform material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and field surveys as required.
• Use design software and CAE/CAD applications to develop and implement project designs.
• Provide technical guidance and input to CAD drafters, designers, and other engineers working on the project team.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support project delivery.

• Must be enrolled in an Engineering curriculum at an accredited college or university and have completed typically 1+ year of studies in a major engineering discipline.

This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team. Salary Range: $22.93 - $40.14 per hour.
