Responsibilities
- Perform traffic analysis, studies, preliminary engineering, transportation planning, and develop final design plans for traffic signals, ITS, lighting, signing, pavement marking, traffic handling, and construction sequencing
- Apply a broad understanding of civil engineering and other fields to reach innovative and interdependent solutions
- Design of MOT, signing & marking, signals, lighting, ITS, and all related documentation necessary for construction of plans
- Conduct traffic analysis, safety audits, traffic impact studies, traffic signal timing, traffic signal design, and calculations forming the basis of design recommendations
- Generate clear and concise technical reports summarizing analysis findings, description of the issues, and recommendations with supporting rationale
- Read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and reports
- Prepare and check plans, calculations, cost estimates, and recommendations
- Minimum Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or a related field - Minimum two (2) years of design experience for CA role
- P.E. Registration required in the jurisdiction of the position or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Proven knowledge and skills in both Micro Station and AutoCAD
- Preferred candidates will have skills using traffic modeling software:
Synchro, HCS, Vissim, and AGI
32 (lighting) - Knowledge of roadway modeling software a plus:
Civil 3D and Open Roads
