KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Structural Engineering Manager (PE or SE) - Industrial Projects, Technical Leadership & Team Management. We are seeking an experienced Manager of Structural Engineering to lead and manage all structural engineering activities within the department. This role is responsible for overseeing the design, quality, and execution of structural engineering projects while ensuring compliance with professional standards, client requirements, and company objectives.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to mentor engineering teams while contributing to business development and project success.
- Leadership & Department Management
- Plan, organize, and manage all structural engineering activities within the department.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Engineering to establish long-term departmental goals and objectives.
- Ensure structural engineering services meet professional standards, client expectations, and company requirements.
- Oversee department productivity, performance, and quality of deliverables.
- Provide leadership, technical guidance, and mentorship to engineering staff.
- Support other engineering offices and departments as needed.
- Participate in project planning, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Develop and review man-hour estimates for engineering design activities.
- Delegate engineering assignments and monitor project progress.
- Interface with Project Managers and the Manager of Engineering to determine project-specific staffing requirements.
- Provide technical input for conceptual estimating of structural materials during proposal development.
- Perform Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) reviews of:
- Contract Documents
- Structural Calculations
- Technical Specifications
- Review and approve structural designs and engineering documentation.
- Stamp and seal engineering documents as required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Participate in proposal preparation and client presentations.
- Support business development initiatives and strategic growth opportunities.
- Provide technical expertise during project pursuits and proposal evaluations.
