About Rivian Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract. As a company, we constantly challenge what's possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown.

Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations. Role Summary We are seeking a Staff NVH Integration Engineer to lead the technical development and integration of NVH attributes within our vehicle platforms. This role requires an individual who defines technical paths forward when faced with complex engineering constraints and ambiguous system requirements.

You will be responsible for representing NVH in design forums and ensuring a clear linkage between vehicle-level targets and sub-system performance during high-pressure delivery cycles. This position requires a technical lead who manages their own work streams, navigates system interactions and dependencies, and delivers results under strict production timelines. Responsibilities
● Target Setting & Cascading:
Establish and manage NVH attribute targets, systematically cascading vehicle-level performance requirements down to the system and component levels.
● Technical Project Management:
Coordinate NVH work streams from program kickoff to serial production, taking into account cross-functional impacts to desired NVH performance.
● Performance Monitoring:
Establish metrics, and maintain a NVH Scorecard, to continuously track project health.
● Design Integration:
Create NVH packaging guidelines for interior acoustics, exterior acoustics, damping, baffles, and sealing strategies and ensure NVH requirements are successfully integrated into next-generation vehicles. Qualifications
● NVH Leadership Specialization:
Minimum of 6+ years of experience in NVH attribute development and vehicle integration in the automotive industry
● NVH Attribute Management:
Strong understanding of subjective NVH evaluation and objective metrics, with an ability to clearly present and advocate for NVH decisions in large design forums.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Organization:
Proven ability to work seamlessly across diverse engineering functions, coupled with highly organized and meticulous documentation skills to manage complex project deliverables.
● Technical Toolset Proficiency:
Proficiency with NVH instrumentation and data analysis software such as LMS, HEAD Acoustics & CAE tools such as NASTRAN, Optistruct, VA One
● Educational Background:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Acoustics, or a related technical field. Pay Disclosure The salary range for this role is $,000 for Southern California based applicants.
