Pay Range: $26.44 – $33.65 per hour, with flexibility depending on experience

Position SummaryWe are seeking a Structural Designer to join a growing engineering team supporting multifamily, residential, and commercial building projects. In this role, you will help develop and coordinate structural construction documents from concept through completion while collaborating with engineers, architects, and other design professionals. The ideal candidate brings strong structural drafting experience and is comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed structural drawings for residential, multifamily, and commercial projects
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project team members to ensure structural systems are integrated into overall building designs
- Prepare and review construction documents and perform quality control reviews
- Utilize AutoCAD and/or Revit to create structural construction documents
- Produce framing plans, shear wall plans, details, and complete structural drawing packages
- Develop accurate construction documents based on verbal and written direction from engineers
- Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with project standards
- Manage multiple project assignments while meeting schedules and quality expectations
- Apply problem-solving skills to improve design efficiency and document quality
- Work independently while collaborating with engineering and design teams
• Associate degree in Drafting, Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 4 years of structural drafting experience, with 5+ years preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience with structural wood framing and shear wall drafting
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Ability to manage projects with limited supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with commercial building projects
• Experience with foundation design and drafting
• Experience with elevated slab systems
• Ability to coordinate across disciplines and proactively resolve design conflicts
• Strong understanding of structural building systems and construction methods
