We are seeking an experienced Exterior Trim Engineer to join our automotive engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing and developing automotive exterior plastic components from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop automotive exterior trim components in a DRE role.
- Develop and execute system requirements for exterior trim systems.
- Design and release components such as bumpers, fascia, cladding, garnish, spoilers, and related assemblies.
- Perform feasibility studies, packaging analysis, and support prototype/production builds.
- Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Utilize CATIA V6 for component design and engineering releases.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of automotive exterior trim or bumper design experience.
- Strong knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes and plastic tooling.
- Hands-on experience with CATIA V6.
- Experience with automotive product development from concept to production.
