Note:
Qualified candidates will have 8+ Years of direct experience in Environmental, RF, Microwave and RADAR compliance testing.
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Test Technician Specialist performs complex evaluations, testing, troubleshooting and repairs on production and customer returned electronics assemblies and subassemblies. Create detailed reports on customer return units and assist with Quality and Engineering with failure analysis reports to identify root cause. Assists in the creation and maintenance of repair procedures as required in support of product or process improvement initiatives.
RF testing and theory are essential to the job as well as performing the vital duties listed below.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, systems and subsystems by executing the essential functions listed below:
- Extensive knowledge of RF/Microwave communication subsystems, filters, antennas, radar, motors, and electronic control systems is required.
- High performing individual capable of troubleshooting to component level on complex electronic circuits.
- Must be able to perform evaluations and repairs on field returns that include detailed failure analysis reports.
- Performs Environmental, Vibration, Shock and Acceleration testing to MIL Standards.
- Vast experience with RF/electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power meters, RF generators, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc...
- Develop understanding of operation and parametric behavior of RF components.
- US Citizen and Secret Security Clearance required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree at a four-year College or technical school and 8+ years firsthand experience in Environmental, RF, Microwave and RADAR compliance testing. A degree in Engineering or technical field is preferred.
