Robotics Product Development Engineer

Requirements

• We require a B.S. in Electrical, Software, Robotics, Systems, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• We want at least 2 years of relevant industry experience.
• We look for programming experience, ideally with Java.
• We need experience working in Linux environments.
• We expect familiarity with microcontrollers, embedded firmware, and electronic circuits.
• We value exposure to motors, sensors, encoders, and motion-control systems.
• We need a basic understanding of printed circuit board design and troubleshooting.
• We prefer hands-on experience with electronic test equipment.
• We value familiarity with LabVIEW or comparable automated test platforms.
• We look for basic knowledge of optics or fiber optics.
• We require strong system-level troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• We want a practical, hands-on engineering mindset.

Responsibilities:

• We develop and support Java software running in Linux environments.
• We create firmware for microcontrollers and embedded systems.
• We integrate and control motors, actuators, encoders, and sensors.
• We design and refine robotic motion-control systems.
• We prototype, design, and troubleshoot basic electronic circuits.
• We support PCB design, bring-up, and testing.
• We build automated test and diagnostic tools, including LabVIEW-based solutions.
• We carry out electronic, electromechanical, and optical testing.
• We integrate software, electronics, mechanics, and fiber-optic subsystems.
• We diagnose and resolve system-level hardware and software issues.
• We support new products from prototype through production.

This is an onsite role based in Irvine, California. We offer competitive compensation of $90,000 to $130,000 per year.
