Job SummaryResponsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and comprehensive estimates for HVAC Testing, Adjusting & Balancing projects across healthcare, education, commercial, laboratory, industrial, and government facilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Review plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents to determine project requirements.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and evaluate TAB scope based on mechanical drawings and project specifications.
- Develop labor-hour estimates for air and hydronic balancing, sound and vibration testing, duct leakage testing, fume hood testing, smoke control testing, and commissioning support services.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, equipment, subcontractors, travel, per diem, and material costs.
- Identify project risks, assumptions, exclusions, and clarifications.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotations as required.
- Prepare proposal documents, bid forms, qualifications, and scope narratives.
- Participate in bid reviews and estimate presentations with management.
- Associate's or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC TAB, commissioning, mechanical contracting, or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and TAB procedures.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Experience preparing estimates and proposals for commercial HVAC projects.
- Must be fluent with Office Suite (SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Strong technical writing skills and the ability to read and interpret drawings and/or construction plans are required for success.
- This position requires strong negotiating and organizational skills, the ability to perform detailed work promptly, follow through order closure, and manage the order throughout the manufacturing process.

Geographic DisclosureCompensation Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
