Rivian is looking for an experienced Exterior Lighting Design Release Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced exterior lighting systems for electric vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Design and release exterior lighting components using CATIA V6.
- Develop headlamps, tail lamps, center light panels, and corner lamps.
- Perform feasibility studies and evaluate A-Class surfaces.
- Coordinate with styling, manufacturing, validation, and supplier teams.
- Manage component releases throughout the product lifecycle.
- Drive design optimization for cost, weight, quality, and manufacturability.
- Review simulation results and implement design improvements.
- Support prototype builds and production launches.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3+ years of automotive lighting design experience.
- Minimum 3 years as a Lighting Design Release Engineer.
- Expert knowledge of CATIA V6.
- Experience with plastic tooling, injection molding, and lighting manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of automotive lighting regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and supplier management skills.
