Senior Research And Development Engineer

We are seeking a Senior R&D Engineer with catheter development experience for a highly regarded, rapidly growing cardiovascular medical device company in the Irvine area. The Senior R&D Engineer will lead cross-functional teams in catheter development. Requirements for the Senior R&D Engineer
- Catheters:

• Experience in mechanical engineering or biomedical engineering;
  Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience developing medical devices, with at least 2 years developing catheters
• Experience writing and verifying specifications, designing test fixtures, and test processes
• Working knowledge of standard medical device manufacturing equipment and processes
• Proficiency in Solid Works
• Experience working with suppliers
• Previous work with Nitinol processing
• Strong communication skills, oral, written, and electronic

Responsibilities of the Senior R&D Engineer
- Catheters

• Develop catheter product concepts and products
• Work with subject matter experts to develop design needs and specifications for device prototype
• Develop product design and manufacturing process development
• Prepare technical documentation, manage appropriate design history files
• Direct the specification and testing of new materials and designs
