Loan Processor

As a Mortgage Loan Processor at High Tech Lending /American Senior Lending, you will be responsible for managing the processing of mortgage loans from File Intake through Funding. This role requires a deep understanding of mortgage products and regulations, as well as strong attention to detail to ensure all loan packages are complete and compliant. You will work closely with loan originators, underwriters, and customers, ensuring a smooth and efficient loan processing experience.

Additionally, you will provide support to corporate branches and originators, assisting with questions regarding mortgage programs, products, and software.

• Communicate clearly, accurately, and professionally, within all stated SLA’s.
• Adhere to all service level requirements (Submitting conditions, communicating conditions, getting conditions, scheduling closings, etc.)
• Obtain and assemble complete loan packages in proper order for underwriting.
• Verify all required documentation (pre-underwrite) is in the file, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Directly communicate with Loan Originators, customers, and underwriters to obtain initial and missing documentation required for approval.
• Review loans for compliance with RESPA, TILA, HMDA, Reg. B, and other mortgage-related regulations.
• Communicate with third parties to obtain property surveys, flood certificates, title commitments, and payoff information, etc.
• Verify that all vendor orders are complete, invoices are received, and documentation is uploaded to the applicant’s file.
• Manage the loan pipeline by monitoring reports and ensuring all tasks are completed within allotted turn‑around times.
• Assist with the setup of loans and document all communication related to the loan application in the conversation log.
• Provide support to processors, originators, and brokers on all questions regarding mortgage programs, products, and software.
• Stay up‑to‑date with mortgage guidelines, products, and programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the processing department.

This position offers a generous per-file compensation program in addition to base pay.

• Previous loan processing experience of 5 years
• Functional experience with Encompass
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Must have excellent problem‑solving skills
• Ability to meet production, quality, and service standards
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
• Must have working experience with computer applications
